2013 Reserve Malbec
Awarded 93 Points and a Gold Medal at the 2016 Central Coast Wine Competition!
This 100% estate-grown and bottled Malbec is bursting with cherry and blueberry fruit with rich aromas of white pepper and vanilla. It is balanced with velvety tannins leading to a lingering, satisfying finish. It was aged in a mixture of French and American oak for 30 months. This wine will age gracefully for 5 to 7 years, but tastes great now. Only 150 cases produced. List price $60.
The Reserve Malbec is one of our most-popular and award-winning wines: the 2008 vintage won Best of Class at the 2011 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the 2010 won a Double Gold at the 2014 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the 2011 won Best of Class of Region and 94 Points at the 2015 California State Fair, and the 2012 won a Gold at the 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
